Beginning
Mary meets Howard, becomes infatuated by him straight away.
Disruption
Mary comes on to Howard, affair begins.
They're later caught by Howard's wife Hollis.
Resolution
Mary undergoes the memory loss procedure so Howard and Hollis can carry on their marriage.
Leads on to Joel and Clem's story.
